The City of Austin adopted the South Austin Combined Neighborhood Plan on November 6, 2014. It covers Westgate, South Menchaca and Garrison Park, names that also turn up on practices here. Cherry Creek, Onion Creek, Barton Hills and Bluff Springs are the other neighborhood names in this part of town.

Manchaca, the historic community behind the Menchaca and Manchaca road names, is ten miles southwest of Austin in southwestern Travis County. Sunset Valley, which gives its name to Sunset Valley Marketfair, is a separate city off State Highway 71 in southwestern Travis County.

Southpark Meadows sits at the southwest corner of Slaughter Lane and I-35, and its developer, Endeavor, describes it as a 435-acre master-planned development. Most of the rest sit on single corridors: Menchaca Road, Brodie Lane, West Gate Boulevard and West William Cannon Drive.

Two names stand out for review history. Revelus Dermatology, on West Gate Boulevard, is a board-certified dermatology practice with a rating of 4.8 from 2354 reviews. It treats acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, hair loss and skin cancer, and offers cosmetic care alongside. Skin Envy Austin- South, on West William Cannon Drive, is a medical spa rated 4.9 from 1199 reviews. It has operated in Austin since 2007 and is directed by Sheldon Rockwood, MD.

Texas Laser and Aesthetics Medspa, also on West Gate Boulevard, combines cosmetic laser technology with injectables and spa-style facials. Synergy Plastic Surgery, on Menchaca Road, is a plastic surgery practice with its own Synergy MedSpa for nonsurgical treatments. Both are rated 4.9.
